Filter Process

Raw water from the Providence River will be filtered with a dual-media filtration system, using both sand and activated carbon to separate debris and other impurities raw water may have. Unprocessed water may have some natural substances, such as chloride and salt, that can affect the taste of water. The dichlorination process will remove residue and chemicals from the water. The purification process is next. We have a reverse osmosis system that purifies the water, using a pressurized pump that turns high-concentrated water into low-concentrated water, isolating all impurities like industrial pollutants, bacteria and viruses, and achieve the physical and chemical requirements for drinking indicators and hygienic standards producing pure water.
